ABSTRACT
Short rotary kilns with cyclone heat exchangers are commonly used in current cement industry. The principle is the installation of precalciner, even in the case of kilns with low capacity, not exceeding 3000 tons per day. The best method of tertiary air introducing is the usage of separate duct from grate cooler, which justifies widespread use of these coolers. Alternative fuels, as whole tires, can be burned in precalciners, on special furnaces.
