Strength and durability of cement mortars containing nanosilica and waste glass fine aggregate

Conducted research on cement mortars with the inclusion of nanosilica and fi ne waste glass cullets evaluated the relevant parameters related to their strength and durability, in particular in terms of water impact in various external environments. In addition to an ordinary cement mortar with the natural sand, finegrained glass aggregate was used as a substitute for natural sand in the amount of 50% and 100% of its volume, and nanosilica in the amount of 0%, 1% and 3% by weight cement mass. The influence of nanosilica on the heat of hydration and the total heat of hydration of cement paste was also evaluated.
